Today I took a trip to Brick Lane Market - easily my favourite market so far, I’ll definitely go back after pay day weekend. The area is full of really sick graffiti, I don’t really think I captured the best of it, but here’s what I got regardless!
I really need to find some Banksy art before I leave, will definitely post some photos when I find some

le pain quotidien

Sitting in an all-organic cafe in Soho spreading some sweet orange confiture on slices of toasted walnut bread and sippin’ on an delicious iced coffee (organic of course) all while classical music plays in the background.

After this I am headed to a nearby vegetarian buffet restaurant :)

update

Still in London, still very much loving every minute of it.

Small, insignificant updates:
i. Started walking to work :) 50 minutes one way. Considering I save £4 each day I walk instead of taking the Underground I am one happy camper.

ii. I bought two disposable cameras and am on a mish to take at least one photo a day

iii. I recently went for dinner at Vantra (Soho Street). It’s a delicious vegan buffet restaurant! Nora and I purposely ate light throughout the day to completely go crazy and get our money’s worth. We spent a few hours there and filled our plates many many times :) Best tofu I’ve ever ever ever had ever. myamyamyam.

That’s about it!

sugar rush

Today I had the day off and decided to make the most of the not-crappy London weather and head out to Borough Market. I purposely did not fill up on breakfast since Borough Market is known to be London’s most renowned food market as well as being one of its oldest food markets!

Borough market has just about everything - as you can see from the photos below :)
From sea food and fresh produce to goat ice cream, chutneys and nuts to baked yummies, Borough literally had it all! (Just imagine how amazing all the food stands smelt, yummmmm)

As for what I munched on, I started on with a Karpatka from Cakehole, basically this big messy pastry filled with fresh vanilla pastry cream with chocolate drizzle on top. Afterwards, since my first choice (a place specializing in Chorizo sandwiches) sold out just as I got there, I opted for a yummy pulled pork sandwich from Hobbs instead. AND THEN, I finished my market trip with a big ol’ bag of of pistachios, chocolate covered almonds and honey-roasted pecans… kind of went a bit crazy.

I am so full and had a terrible sugar headache on the tube ride home.
Totally worth it.

(I’m too lazy to upload more….)

The other day I walked down to the British Museum (Russell Square Station) - the half-hour walk in itself was pretty nice. Having been there on a school trip before took away from its lustre a bit, but I did check out the Picasso Prints Exhibition along with the Modern Chinese Ink Paintings Exhibition they had going on, both quite small but great! See photos above

After the museum, I walked to Soho Park and chilled out with a chai latte and croissant :)
Could have had better weather, but it is London…. sigh. I’m getting a little tired of seeing beautiful weather forecasted in Montreal, while here I’m just praying it doesn’t rain.

Afterwards I went for an extremely filling Vietnamese meal at Song Que in Shoreditch (East London) with Dani! I wish I took photos but I seriously ate it all before I could c: merrherrrherrr.
